Who is eligible to join WorkReserve?

WorkReserve is for an existing sole-trader or company business with a valid ABN, an eligible trade and service area, and current insurance appropriate to that trade. Applicants provide business details, insurance information and references for review. The launch network starts with photographers, mobile hair and beauty, lawn maintenance, tradespeople and women including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters and similar trades, and handyman and repair businesses in Brisbane and surrounding regions within approximately 100 km. This is a starting focus, not a promise that cover already exists in every niche or location. Approval follows reference checks and insurance verification and remains at WorkReserve's discretion.

What does the AUD $20 monthly membership fee cover?

The AUD $20 per month membership fee supports access to vetted peer groups organised by specialty and location, qualified peer cover when a member cannot work, and matching and coordinated handovers. It is the membership fee, not a covered-job or client charge, and WorkReserve is not insurance. Cover depends on suitable peer availability and is not guaranteed. Applicants complete the questionnaire first; payment is requested only after approval.

What are the limits of cover?

WorkReserve does not publish a universal monetary, job-count or duration limit. Each cover request is considered on its own details and can describe a single date or a date range, with a standard or urgent request type. A request still needs a suitable, available bench member to accept it, and WorkReserve does not guarantee a match, cover, or the quality, safety or outcome of work performed. Confirm the scope of a specific handoff with the relevant members before relying on it.

What happens if I need to cancel?

If a cover request changes, tell the relevant bench members through the WorkReserve platform as soon as possible and before the agreed work begins. If a member has already accepted, both members should confirm the change in the platform so the handoff record stays clear. Membership cancellation, fees and any refund outcome are governed by the terms shown at sign-up; this FAQ does not create a separate refund entitlement.

How are disputes handled?

Members are primarily responsible for resolving disputes about covered work directly with each other, using the WorkReserve platform to keep the conversation and agreed outcome documented. WorkReserve may assist at its discretion, but it is not obliged to arbitrate an individual dispute. WorkReserve is not a party to the work performed and does not guarantee its quality, safety or outcome.

How will I know when a payment is confirmed?

Accepted Answer

Treat a membership or transaction payment as confirmed only when the WorkReserve payment flow shows a successful result after the payment provider has processed it. A browser return or an abandoned payment screen is not, by itself, confirmation. Any applicable membership or transaction fee is shown separately at sign-up. WorkReserve does not promise a confirmation email or a particular charge, cancellation or refund timing; if the payment flow does not show success, contact work-reserve@polsia.app before retrying.

What are my responsibilities as a member?

Keep your profile, business details and insurance information accurate and current; maintain insurance appropriate to your trade; communicate through the WorkReserve platform; respond to cover requests professionally and promptly; and conduct the agreed work professionally for the client. Do not use WorkReserve introductions to arrange ongoing cover outside the platform to avoid applicable fees. WorkReserve does not provide insurance and does not guarantee that a policy remains current, that a peer will accept a request, or that covered work will meet a particular quality, safety or outcome standard.

How do I apply to join?

Use the WorkReserve onboarding form to share your business, trade, service area, insurance status and references. WorkReserve aims to respond within one business day, but an application is not automatically accepted. The team reviews the information, completes the relevant checks and contacts you about the outcome.
